Nominations for the British Diversity Awards 2027 close on 20 November 2026 at 23:55, according to the official entry portal. Entry is free. The portal does not specify a timezone: confirm the cutoff with the organiser rather than assuming your local time applies.
Use the remaining time to show what your inclusion work has changed, not simply how many activities you have organised.
Choose the Category That Fits Your Work
The current categories include Diversity Team, Company, Social Mobility Initiative and Innovation by Design, alongside individual and employee-network awards. Each has its own criteria; entering several categories means answering each one's requirements separately.
There is an important distinction for employee networks. Outstanding Employee Network excludes networks covered by the dedicated LGBTQIA+, Ability, Women's and Ethnicity categories. Select the specific category where it applies rather than putting the same nomination into a general network category.
Many criteria ask for activity during the past 12 months, with specific examples and measurable outcomes. Gather participation figures, feedback and evidence of changes to policies, access or representation. Explain the original barrier, what you did and the difference it made. Use Crafting Winning Awards Entries to turn that evidence into a focused account.
Submit the Nomination, Not Just a Draft
You must create and verify an account before entering. Complete the form and submit it through the organiser's portal: saved drafts are not considered. Submitted entries can be edited until the closing date.
You can nominate yourself, your organisation, team or initiative, or another eligible person or organisation. Where possible, obtain their permission before nominating someone else. The terms require accurate information and permission to use supporting materials. Avoid confidential information and unnecessary personal data; discuss any sensitive material with the organiser before submission.
Plan for the Next Stages
The published calendar schedules the finalist announcement for 14 January 2027 and the winners announcement for 17 March 2027.
Free nomination does not include a complimentary ceremony ticket unless confirmed in writing. Where reasonably possible, shortlisted finalists are required to attend, with an appropriate representative for a team or organisation. Inability to attend does not automatically disqualify an entry: contact the organiser early about accessibility, financial or other barriers and possible alternatives.
