The Legal Geek Leaders in Tech Law Awards have published their 2026 winners following the ceremony scheduled for 14 October at Pan Pacific London. Opus 2 won Legal Tech Company of the Year, while Wordsmith AI won Legal Tech Start-Up.
If the programme name looks unfamiliar, the organiser describes it as the next evolution of the European Legal Innovation & Tech Law Awards, now in partnership with Legal Geek. The catalogue retains the earlier programme name; the official results use the new identity.
Selected Winners Across the Programme
These are selected results from the official winners page, not the full roll of honour:
- In-house — Best Transformation Project by an In-House Team: DTEK Group.
- In-house — Best Use of AI: Trinetix.
- Suppliers — Legal Tech Company of the Year: Opus 2.
- Suppliers — Legal Tech Start-Up: Wordsmith AI.
- Suppliers — Product of the Year (AI): Kalisa.
- Open to all — Outstanding Collaboration: Aavagard, Aavalynx and Vodafone.
Keep the section as well as the category name when reporting a result. The official page has separate in-house, private practice, supplier and open-to-all sections, and some category names appear in more than one section. A shortlist place is not a win: check the explicit winner label before publishing a claim.
What to Take into Your Next Entry
The results identify the winners, but they do not explain the judging rationale for these selected entries. Do not turn a category title into an invented judges' endorsement.
For your own preparation, start with the change your work made. What problem did the team face, what did it do differently, and what improved for clients or colleagues? Pair a measurable result with a specific example, and obtain permission before sharing confidential legal or client material.
Choose the category where that evidence fits. A useful technology is not automatically a strong transformation story; show the impact rather than relying on the product description. For a practical structure, see Crafting Winning Awards Entries.
Turn Recognition into Accurate Publicity
Winning teams should agree a precise description of the category and credit the people or partners involved. Link to the official result, distinguish the win from other shortlist appearances, and check the organiser's current logo-use terms before using an awards mark.
