Entries for the 2027 American Business Awards opened on 7 October 2026. The organiser is accepting nominations for individuals, teams and entire organisations in the programme's 25th edition.
The programme is open to organisations operating in the USA: public and private, for-profit and non-profit, large and small. Check the specific category requirements before deciding that your organisation or project fits.
Know Which Deadline You Are Planning For
The organiser's homepage lists:
- First early-bird deadline: 18 November 2026.
- Second early-bird deadline: 17 December 2026.
- Primary entry deadline: 10 February 2027.
- Late entry deadline: 11 March 2027.
The November date is not the final deadline. Equally, a later deadline is not a reason to delay gathering evidence. Request the current entry kit and check the fees, closing time and category rules before setting your internal submission date. This announcement does not quote a fee amount or assume that every category has the same requirements.
Run in the Right Race
The published category groups include Company/Organization, Customer Service, Human Resources, Sustainability and Technology. Choose the category that matches the achievement you can prove, not simply the most impressive title.
Start with Problem, Solution, Result. What challenge did you face, what did your team do and what changed? Pair measurable results with a specific example or testimonial, used with permission. Explain the context so a judge outside your organisation can understand why the result matters.
Then ask someone who was not involved in the project to read the draft. If they cannot follow the story or find the evidence, make it clearer before you submit.
Start With a Practical Plan
Assign an owner, choose the category and agree the evidence and approvals you need. Put a review date before your chosen organiser deadline. An early start gives you room to improve the entry rather than simply complete the form.
