D CEO's Commercial Real Estate Awards list 7 January 2027 as the nomination deadline for the 2027 programme. That leaves 64 days from this check to gather evidence of the projects, deals and people making a difference in North Texas commercial property.

Dates and an Opening-Date Conflict

The official programme page gives this dated schedule:

  • Nominations open: 16 November 2026.
  • Nomination deadline: 7 January 2027.
  • Winners announced: 1 April 2027.

The same page still says nominations will open in October 2026 and labels nominations closed. Its general introduction also refers to an April 2026 magazine feature. Use the dated 2027 schedule to plan, but confirm the live nomination opening, closing time and timezone with the organiser before relying on submission access or publication arrangements. The page does not state a deadline time or timezone.

Choose the Category Your Evidence Supports

The programme recognises projects, transactions, dealmakers and executives. Published categories include Commercial Real Estate Executive of the Year, Developer of the Year, Best Redevelopment or Renovation and Community Impact Award.

The organiser asks you not to submit the same nomination under multiple categories; editors and judges may move it if another category is a better fit. Past finalists and winners may be nominated again, but the nomination should emphasise accomplishments from the past year. The FAQ says there are no required costs to nominate, be a finalist or be named a winner.

Make the North Texas Impact Clear

D CEO says its editors privately review nominees and select finalists and winners based on their impact on North Texas. Start with the regional problem or opportunity, explain the nominee's contribution and show what changed. For a project or transaction, distinguish its scale from its practical value: who benefited, how and over what period?

Gather measurable outcomes alongside client, tenant or community testimony, with permission to use it. For an individual, identify the decisions and leadership that produced those results rather than listing responsibilities. Agree an internal review date before 7 January, leaving time for approvals and a final check of the current nomination form.
