The Heating Installer Awards 2027 close for entries on 22 December 2026. Entry is free for this UK trade scheme. The homepage gives no closing time or timezone, so confirm the cutoff before planning a last-day submission.

Choose the Right Entry Route

  • Heating Installer of the Year: describe a domestic project you worked on in the past 18 months, explaining how you met the homeowner's needs and budget, overcame challenges and provided aftercare.
  • HVAC Installer of the Year: show a domestic system designed or installed in the past 18 months that combines heating, cooling and air quality. You may enter this and Heating Installer of the Year, but must use a different project for each.
  • Apprentice of the Year: the edition entry page specifies apprentices studying towards a Level 3 Plumbing & Domestic Heating Technician qualification or equivalent.

There is an eligibility difference to check: the homepage allows Level 2 or 3, while the edition entry page says Level 3 or equivalent. Follow the edition guidance and ask the organiser to confirm your qualification's eligibility before applying.

Explain Your Decisions and Their Results

The new two-part process first checks eligibility, then asks for project detail. Build the entry around the customer's original brief, your product choices, the constraints you faced and the result you delivered. Explain why the solution suited that home rather than simply listing the equipment installed.

For an HVAC entry, prepare the heat-loss calculations requested in the guidance. Pair technical evidence with a clear account of comfort, efficiency or service improvements and obtain permission for any customer information you share.

The organiser says winners will be announced at InstallerSHOW in Birmingham in June 2027. Start gathering your evidence now so the December submission reflects both your workmanship and its value to the customer.
