Entries for the Shorty Awards 2027 opened on 20 October 2026. Brands, agencies and nonprofits worldwide can enter their digital and social-media work. The first budget decision is the 3 December 2026 early deadline, at $499 USD per category.

Put the Price Stages in Your Plan

  • Early deadline: 3 December 2026, $499 USD per category.
  • Official deadline: 28 January 2027, $599 USD per category.
  • Late deadline: 18 February 2027, $699 USD per category.

The organiser labels all cutoffs 23:59 EDT, including the winter dates. Confirm the applicable timezone and your local submission time with the awards team before relying on that label. The late deadline is a separate stage, not the same price as the official deadline.

Work must have been at least partially live between 1 January 2026 and 18 February 2027. Spec work and incomplete work are not eligible unless the category description says otherwise. Check the official categories for the best fit before paying for multiple categories.

Turn Creative Work into a Clear Case Study

The rules require a written account covering the objective, strategy and implementation, and results. Media can include images, videos, links and credits. The judging guidance focuses on strategic execution, creativity and meaningful outcomes.

Start with the audience need and the goal you set. Explain why your approach was different, then connect the activity to the change you can demonstrate. Relevant figures, a clear measurement period and audience or client feedback are stronger than a collection of impressive screenshots without context.

Complete Payment and Publish the Entry

Payment alone does not complete an entry: the rules require the entry to be published to qualify for judging. Fees are non-refundable. Leave time to check credits, permissions and the case study before completing the submission. The organiser reserves the right to publish entries as case studies or publicity, so obtain approval for sensitive client material before uploading it.
